Xinjiang Airport (Group) Co., Ltd was established on 16 April 2004 which is a state-owned enterprise under the direct administration of the people’s government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. 27 civil airports and 2 general airports are managed by the group in 2025. Among them, Urumqi Tianshan International Airport is the international aviation hub airport. Kashi Laining International Airport and Yili Yining International Airport are International aviation port airport. Korla, Aksu, and Hotan airports function as sub-hub airport in Xinjiang. There are several wholly-owned holding companies in the group that cover aviation logistics, air travel services, commercial management, construction and investmentï¼Œairport economy, aviation education and training and other aspects.

In 2025, Xinjiang Airport Group handled 54.07million passengers throughput,403 thousand tonnes of cargo and mail throughput, and 600 thousand of aircraft movements. The group also opened 707 air routes.
