airBaltic plans to launch direct flights to Faro and increase the number of flights to Dubai and other routes from Riga

Latvia's national airline airBaltic plans to launch direct flights from Riga to Faro (Portugal), starting from September 6, 2025 to January 3, 2026, operating one flight per week - on Saturdays.

In addition, in response to growing demand, direct flights between Riga and Dubai (United Arab Emirates) will be provided daily during the winter season (from the end of October 2025 to the end of March 2026). This will make airBaltic the airline that offers more direct flights between the Baltic States and the United Arab Emirates than any other carrier. The number of flights between Riga and Amsterdam (Netherlands) will also be increased to three flights per day, providing greater connectivity to various destinations around the world through one of the largest transit hubs in Europe.

Furthermore, airBaltic will extend some of its summer season routes into the winter season, with flights from Riga to Pisa and Porto operating through November. Meanwhile, flights from Riga to Catania will begin earlier than usual – in March 2026 – providing travelers with even more leisure options. Additionally, the airline will increase its flight frequencies from Riga to Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt) and Hurghada (Egypt), offering three flights per week to each destination. During the upcoming winter season, airBaltic also plans to resume flights between Riga and Dublin (Ireland), operating two weekly flights between the two cities.

Throughout the winter season, airBaltic will also offer an extensive selection of ski destinations, including Innsbruck (Austria), Salzburg (Austria), Geneva (Switzerland), Verona (Italy), and Kittilä (Finland) – covering some of Europe's top skiing resorts.

airBaltic operates nearly 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region. A complete schedule of airBaltic flights and tickets are available on the company's homepage at www.airbaltic.com.
