About The Airport

Phu Quoc International Airport is based in the south of Phu Quoc Island, approximately 10km away from Duong Dong province northwards. PQIA is the trading gateway of Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang province, plays an important role in developing PQ as the tourism and service center as well as a trading center towards other provinces, region and the world.

Phu Quoc Int’l Airport was inaugurated and opened for operation on 15/12/12 with modern infrastructure, advanced aviation technology, capable of accommodating 2.65 mil passengers/yr. The total used area of itn and domestic terminals is 24.325m2.

Aerodrome class: 4E. The airport has a single runway: 3,000 m x 45 m, PCN: 75/F/C/X/T; 04 taxiways: Min. width: 25 m, PCN: 75/F/C/X/T; 08 aircraft parking stands: with ACN ≤ 75(F) 62(R), ACN > 75(F) 62(R), but limited to maximum takeoff weight and density of operation provided by CAA.

Since its opening until now, there has been sharp growth in traffic volume of Phu Quoc Int’l airport with an av. growth rate of >50%/annum. ACV implemented the expansion project of passenger terminal building, increasing capacity from 2.65 mil pass/yr up to 4 mil pass/yr, date of completion is 2016.
