About The Airport

The BVI Airports Authority was incorporated in 2005 to oversee the effective and efficient operation of all airports in the British Virgin Islands. The Authority has a mandate to execute a vision of developing and maintaining world class airports which provide safe and efficient gateways to the world and entrances to the Virgin Islands, and currently manages four Airports.

The main airport, Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (TBLIA) provides over 300,000 visitors with access to one of the World's most treasured gems, "Nature's Little Secrets" (BVI's official slogan). The BVI is a picture of contrasts and blessed by year round trade winds and temperate weather averaging 81o. The stunning 50+ islands and cays comprising the BVI have two great assets - accessibility and virgin beauty.

TBLIA has seen scheduled traffic inclusive of the ATR 42 and more recently the Dash 8, and ATR 72. Many private jets also utilize the airport including the Gulfstream, Bombardier Global Express and the Embrear 135. Its asphalt runway has a Total Runway Available (TORA) length of 1356m and width of 30m
