Travelers from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries need an approved ESTA for tourism/business, while others need a U.S. visa. A passport valid for at least six months beyond the stay is generally required, and you must follow all U.S. CBP (Customs and Border Protection) regulations

How do I apply for an ESTA?

Travelers from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries need an approved ESTA for tourism/business, while others need a U.S. visa.

An ESTA can be applied for directly here on the official website : https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta

Please note: Informa Markets do have not have any control over ESTA visa applications, enquiries will need to be directly with official channels or check with your local embassy.

Are any vaccines required to travel to Puerto Rico?

Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States, and travellers generally do not need special vaccinations to visit. However, it is always recommended to ensure that routine vaccinations are up to date before traveling. These include:

Routine Vaccines: Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP), varicella (chickenpox), polio, and annual flu vaccine.

COVID-19 Vaccine: While not mandatory, being vaccinated against COVID-19 is advisable for travel safety.

If you are traveling from outside the U.S. or have specific health concerns, consult a healthcare provider to determine if additional vaccines, such as hepatitis A or B, are recommended based on your travel plans and activities.

Puerto Rico does not have any specific vaccination requirements for entry, but staying updated on routine immunizations is always a good practice for travel.
