PDC A/S wins comprehensive EU tender with Finavia
Following an EU tender process, the Danish company PDC A/S successfully secured the contract with the state-owned Finnish airport operator, Finavia. PDC will deliver its new solution, PDC GroundPlan, to manage duty and resource planning for Finavia's ground handling operations. Finavia operates and develops 20 airports across Finland.
For decades, PDC A/S has been one of the leading Danish suppliers of software solutions to the aviation industry, providing systems for both airports and airlines. This immense industry expertise has now been combined with the company's long-standing proficiency in duty and resource planning software for a wide range of other industries.
The common denominator for these customers is their need for complex planning of employees and resources, which requires maximum optimisation. Specifically, the numerous collective agreements and regulations common in the Nordic region place enormous demands on the optimal planning of staff and task execution. PDC’s software solutions leverage various AI technologies, which are utilised to a greater or lesser extent across different applications to achieve the most optimal outcomes.
In addition to the recently won EU tender, PDC already supplies a similar solution to the Canadian airline, Air Transat. Air Transat has contributed with fine-tuning and optimisation of PDC GroundPlan, which now positions the solution as a vital tool in the optimisation process of ground handling operations at airports worldwide.
The agreement with Finavia will now further accelerate our global sales within the aviation industry, where we have established a specialised expertise since its beginnings in the mid-1980s.
