PDC A/S is proud to welcome CityJet to the PDC Airline Community
CityJet has recently selected several modules within the PDC AirlineSuite platform, including FlightTime, FlightOps and FlightCrew. By centralising fleet and crew information within a single integrated database, the airline aims to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency and optimise resource utilisation.
CityJet currently operates a mixed fleet of CRJ900 and CRJ1000 aircraft and will transition to a single-type CRJ900 fleet in 2026. The airline’s operations are primarily centred in Scandinavia, with bases in Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden. CityJet employs more than 450 staff, including over 320 in Copenhagen across both flying and ground roles, making it one of the most significant airline employers in Denmark.
We extend a warm welcome to CityJet
About CityJet
Since its formation in 1993, the CityJet brand has been synonymous with excellence in service. Originally launched with a direct connection between Dublin and London City Airport, CityJet has evolved into a pan-European airline providing capacity solutions to customer airlines across the continent.
Since 2018, CityJet has operated a focused business model centred on “capacity as a service”, delivering aircraft, crew, and maintenance to partner airlines through wet-lease agreements. Under these arrangements, customer airlines determine where and when the aircraft operate, while CityJet provides the operational capability and expertise required to deliver reliable service.
The airline’s maintenance centre and offices at Hangar 3 at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport provide line maintenance support for the fleet, as well as crew training and HR services. CityJet’s administrative headquarters, including its Operations Control Centre (OCC) and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), are located at Dublin Airport, while the crew planning centre operates from Luton, England.
CityJet maintains a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. The airline holds IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) accreditation, having completed its most recent audit in June 2025 and preparing for recertification in November 2027 under the new Risk-Based IOSA approach. This enhanced framework represents the industry benchmark in safety oversight, incorporating a maturity-based assessment model. CityJet also holds Third Country Operator (TCO) approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
Since 31 October 2025, CityJet has entered a new phase focused on stabilisation and growth under the ownership of CityJet Holding ApS.
