Facts (Overview)
LAO AIRLINES is the flag carrier of Lao PDR. It operates an extensive domestic and international network mainly within Asia from its home base Vientiane.
Major upgrading and extension are underway at the Watthay airport and Luang Prabang Airport to accommodate and facilitate by 2012 medium size jets widebodies. During October and November, 2011 the airline will take delivery of two new A320. A new route to Singapore is scheduled at the beginning of November 2011, with more destinations in the pipe-line such as Incheon; Hong Kong and Guanzhou with the objective of linking Laos in the indo-china and asian region.
