By handling more than half of the air traffic in the Baltic States Riga International Airport is the leader in the region.

In 2011, thanks to 5.1 million passengers welcomed (breaking the record of annual passenger traffic), the market share of Riga International Airport was 53 percent.

Central location and superior route network means it can easily draw traffic from all three Baltic countries and Scandinavia.

Schengen alliance strengthens our position in the market.

In April, RIX serviced 7,519 tonnes of cargo – breaking another record - an unprecedented amount to date in the history of the airport.
