Cargo Airline of the Year Awards

Cargo Airline of the Year Awards

Vienna International Airport is the winner of the category “up to 300,000 metric tonnes of cargo”

On 24 April 2010, Air Cargo News held its prestigious Cargo Airline of the Year awards which have been going for 27 years at the Lancaster London Hotel.

Seven years ago Air Cargo News introduced a category to the awards ceremony - Best Cargo Airport - sponsored this year by Etihad Crystal Cargo.

This year there are two separate airport awards divided by annual cargo tonnage:

  • Up to 300,000 metric tonnes of cargo and
  • Over 300,000 metric tonnes of cargo

In each category, the fastest growing airport in each region in terms of total cargo according to Airport Council International's latest data, are short listed. From this short list the airport that has invested and promoted its cargo activity to the best effect over the previous 12 months, is allocated the award.

Vienna International Airport is the winner of the first category.
