BUILDING THE FUTURE TOGETHER
Aéroports de Montréal, a not-for-profit corporation is responsible for the management of two world class airports: Trudeau and Mirabel.
Montreal-Trudeau (“YUL”), which has just celebrated its 70th anniversary, has become over the years an accomplished international-calibre passenger facility.
Why?
- An outstanding geographical location at the HEART of a TRADE zone with a population of 7 million within a few hours’ drive;
- $1.6 billion has been invested in its infrastructure since 2000 to double the airport’s capacity;
- State-of-the-art technologies and innovative services are constantly introduced to ensure a secure and seamless processing of passengers and flights;
- Located less than 20 minutes from downtown;
- Tightly controlled expenditures;
- 40 airlines, including all major North American and European carriers, with service to more than 130 destinations in Canada, the US and around the world;
- Competent, professional and responsible management attuned to its clientele;
- Very low airport fees;
- Very attractive and competitive incentive plan.
In 2011, YUL, Canada’s third-largest airport, welcomed 13,6 million passengers, an increase of 5.3%, one of the strongest performances among top Canadian airports. Moreover, the international sector, which accounts for 39% of the total traffic, has jumped by 8%. In light of this success, ADM will invest a further $750 million in various improvements over the next years, including the extension of the international jetty scheduled for completion by 2016.
One of ADM’s top priorities is to continue offering its clientele the highest number of non-stop international destinations. This is the reason why today our main target is to purse a global strategy focusing on enhancing links from Montreal to emerging markets with high potential, such as Asia and South America.
