Kurumoch Airport (KUF) is the largest and the most advanced airport of the Volga Region. In 2011, Kurumoch Airport ranked 10 in terms of passenger traffic (inbound and outbound) and 18 in terms of international cargo shipments among Russian airports. Kurumoch International Airport is a multi-business company that involves about 50 different services. All of their efforts are aimed at providing a full range of passenger, cargo, mail, aircraft handling and maintenance services that are the primary function of the Airport.
In 2012, Kurumoch became a part of newly-formed airport holding, managed by Koltsovo airport (SVX).
Samara is one of the Host cities of FIFA World Cup-2018.
