Routes Europe 2012

Routes Europe 2012

Tallinn, Estonia - 20 May 2012 To 22 May 2012

The 7th Routes Europe will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, hosted By Tallinn Airport  together with their partners from the Estonian Tourist Board, Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention...

Event Essentials

Routes Europe is the annual gathering of air service decision makers for Europe and has four key elements:

1. Meetings

Airlines and airports of the European continent meet privately to discuss new market opportunities and existing services at pre-scheduled face to face meetings.

One-to-One Meetings are arranged prior to the event by our Scheduling Team, these meetings are scheduled into each delegates Personal Diary which is available on arrival. The meetings are scheduled in conjunction with each delegates own requests and it’s the quality of our attendees and our attention to the One-to-One Meetings which makes Routes Europe the place to do business.

2. Networking

Routes Europe encourages all delegates to network as much as possible. This is facilitated through:

An Extra Meetings System that allows all delegates, during the event itself, to request meetings with any other delegate. The Hospitality Programme, which includes Tallinn's Welcome Reception, the Networking Evening, Lunches and the Refreshment Breaks during the working days.

3. City Pair Meetings

In addition to the pre-scheduled meetings included in every airport’s attendance package, airports attending Routes Europe can request further meetings with other airports at no additional cost. City Pair Meetings will allow the two airports to identify new opportunities, share ideas,  approaches, exchange data, contacts and jointly plan ‘City Pair’ strategies and presentations.

For airlines, it can give them a complete route picture without the need to reconcile data and have multiple meetings. For airports, it can lead to joint support packages, potentially saving valuable time and money.

3. Route Exchange Airline Briefings

Route Exchange is the online trading zone for new capacity, where airports and airlines can exchange data and information regarding potential new routes. Route Exchange provides an unrivalled online platform for route development, whilst Route Exchange Airline Briefings also give airlines that ability to brief a selected market on their network strategy.

In 2011, Aer Lingus, AirAsia X, Meridiana and the two largest low cost carriers in Europe, Ryanair and easyJet delivered market briefings in the Route Exchange theatre delivered by senior planners Ken O’Toole and Alan McIntyre respectively.   Due to high demand, Ryanair delivered their Route Exchange presentation twice in order to allow the maximum number of airports to gain an insight into the planning process of Europe’s largest airline.

Routes Europe in Tallinn will see a number of carriers deliver Route Exchange presentations providing airports the opportunity to gain an insight into opportunities and airlines network planning process.
