About The Airline
As a global airline and the UK’s flag carrier, British Airways has been flying its customers to where they need to be for more than 100 years. It operates one of the world’s most extensive flight networks, both domestically and internationally, flying to around 200 destinations in more than 65 countries.
Its principal home is London Heathrow Terminal 5, while also operating out of hubs London Gatwick and London City, and it is a founding member of the oneworld alliance which serves around 1,000 destinations across the globe.
British Airways operates one of the largest and most modern fleets of any airline in the world for its programme of short and long-haul flights. On long-haul flights, customers can expect a choice of up to four cabins: World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy), Club World (business class) and First. Those travelling on short-haul services have a choice of two cabins: Euro Traveller (economy) and Club Europe (business class).
The airline was part of the first airline group to commit to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, committing to achieving this through a series of short, medium and long-term initiatives.
