Best airport in the country: Floripa Airport wins the title for the sixth consecutive time.
Florianópolis International Airport – Hercílio Luz has been elected the best airport in the country for the sixth consecutive time, in the most important award in the sector in Brazil, promoted by the National Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SAC), through the Ministry of Ports and Airports.
The airport in Santa Catarina achieved the highest average overall passenger satisfaction among the 20 largest airports in the country evaluated throughout 2025, regardless of category. Florianópolis recorded an average score of 4.75, on a scale of 1 to 5, being the only Brazilian airport to achieve an average above 4.7 during the period, with a monthly peak of 4.80.
Floripa Airport ended the year with a higher index than that recorded in 2024, even with an annual traffic exceeding 5 million passengers. This growth even resulted in a change of category in the survey, which classifies Brazilian airports into three groups according to the annual volume of passengers: up to 5 million, from 5 to 10 million, and above 10 million. With this, Floripa joined the group of airports that handle between 5 and 10 million passengers per year.
In second place in the overall ranking is Vitória Airport, also managed by Zurich Airport Brasil, with a score of 4.64. The airport in Espírito Santo state achieved first place for the first time among airports with up to 5 million passengers per year.
The awards ceremony for the 11th edition of “Aviação + Brasil” took place on Tuesday evening (24), in Brasília, and recognized the airports that stood out the most in the quality of services provided to passengers. In total, around 100,000 users were interviewed throughout the country. This is the sixth time that Florianópolis International Airport has received the award. In the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 the terminal was also elected the best in Brazil in the direct evaluation of passengers.
Among the aspects most highly rated in Florianópolis are the services related to the airport environment. The airport led in 12 of the 20 indicators analyzed in the survey. The best performance was in the general cleanliness category, with a score of 4.79. Other highlights include the immigration process (4.74), commercial establishments (4.56), and security inspection procedures (4.67).
The results reflect the concessionaire's ongoing monitoring of its own teams, service providers, and partners, supported by a culture oriented towards excellence and continuous improvement, with a focus on the best experience for passengers and visitors.
Indicators related to location and movement within the terminal also received above-average ratings, such as signage, availability of flight information displays, accessibility and comfort of areas, including seating and internet access.
“Being recognized as the best airport in Brazil for the sixth consecutive time is the result of consistent work, always focused on the passenger. Knowing that those who pass through Floripa Airport recognize the quality of our infrastructure and services is extremely gratifying. This award reinforces the solidity of our operation and the ability of our team to continuously offer the best experience to passengers and visitors,” says Ricardo Gesse, CEO of Zurich Airport Brazil, who attended the ceremony in Brasília and received the two trophies awarded to Florianópolis — Best Airport in Brazil and Best Airport in the category of up to 10 million passengers — in addition to the trophy for Best Airport in the category of up to 5 million passengers, awarded to Vitória Airport. At the ceremony, Floripa Airport also won the 3rd Accessibility Award in the airport operator category, with the Digital Map project.
In the satisfaction survey, passengers evaluated 20 items related to infrastructure, service, and amenities, covering the entire airport experience, including processes such as security screening and services like Wi-Fi, cleanliness, thermal comfort, availability of power outlets, and audio announcements.
