Unprecedented achievement: Vitória Airport is elected the best in Brazil in its category

For the first time, Vitória Airport – Eurico de Aguiar Salles was elected the best airport in the country in the category of up to 5 million passengers, in the most important award in the sector in Brazil, promoted by the National Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SAC), through the Ministry of Ports and Airports.

The airport in Espírito Santo achieved the highest average passenger satisfaction rating throughout 2025 among airports in its category, reaching a score of 4.64 on a scale of 1 to 5. Vitória Airport also secured second place in the overall ranking, which considers the 20 largest airports in Brazil.

Leading the overall ranking for the sixth consecutive year is Florianópolis International Airport, also managed by Zurich Airport Brasil, which once again received the title of best airport in the country, regardless of category, with a score of 4.75.

The awards ceremony for the 11th edition of “Aviação + Brasil” was held on Tuesday night (24), in Brasília, and recognized the airports that stood out the most for the quality of services provided to passengers. In total, around 100,000 users were interviewed throughout Brazil.

Among the highlights of Vitória Airport, services related to the airport environment received the best ratings. The indicators for General Cleanliness and Location and Movement obtained scores of 4.67 and 4.65, respectively. The results reinforce Zurich Airport Brazil's commitment to keeping the terminal permanently clean, organized, and prepared to receive passengers and visitors.

Location and navigation features contribute to passenger autonomy, allowing for intuitive, safe, and independent movement throughout the terminal, in a well-signposted environment with ample visibility and clear information.

Furthermore, indicators such as internet quality, restrooms, and baggage claim performed above the national average. One of the main highlights was the availability of power outlets, which received the best rating among all airports surveyed, with a score of 4.52, higher than the national average of 4.04.

“Being elected, for the first time, the best airport in Brazil in its category is an extremely significant recognition for Vitória Airport. This result reflects the commitment of our teams to service excellence and passenger experience. Achieving the highest satisfaction score among airports with up to 5 million passengers demonstrates the consistency of the work we develop and confirms that we are on the right track,” says Ricardo Gesse, CEO of Zurich Airport Brazil.

The executive was present at the ceremony in Brasília, where he received the trophy for Vitória Airport and three other awards for Florianópolis International Airport: Best Airport in Brazil and Best Airport in the category of up to 10 million passengers, in addition to the 3rd Accessibility Award, for the Digital Map project.

In total, respondents evaluated 20 items related to airport infrastructure, service, and amenities, considering the entire passenger journey. Aspects analyzed included processes such as security screening, as well as services like Wi-Fi, cleanliness, thermal comfort, availability of power outlets, announcements, and user information.
