About The Airport
Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is positioned by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) as one of China's seven national gateway-composite international aviation hubs. It is one of the airports implementing the 240-hour transit visa-free policy in China. The airport is only 19km from the CBD, with an airfield area class of 4F. The airport owns four parallel runways of 3,200m, 3,600m, 3,800m, and 3,400m.
On April 9, 2025. with the official operation of Terminal 3B (a single satellite hall with the largest construction area of the world), Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport achieved a milestone as the first airport in central and western China operating simultaneously with four runways and four terminals. The upgraded infrastructure now supports 80 million annual passengers, 580,000 annual aircraft movements, and 1.2 million tons of cargo throughput (projected for 2030).
