About The Airport

Guernsey Airport (GCI / EGJB)

Guernsey Airport is the principal international gateway to the Bailiwick of Guernsey and serves as a critical air connectivity hub for the Channel Islands.

Located in Forest Parish approximately 5 km southwest of St Peter Port, the airport supports scheduled passenger, charter, business aviation and inter-island operations, providing essential links between Guernsey, the UK mainland and selected European markets.

The airport is operated by Guernsey Ports on behalf of the States of Guernsey and acts as the primary base for Aurigny Air Services, Guernsey’s state-owned flag carrier.

Aurigny forms the backbone of the airport’s connectivity, operating lifeline services linking the island with London, regional UK cities and neighbouring Channel Islands destinations.

Guernsey Airport’s scheduled network is heavily UK-focused, with year-round services including London Gatwick, London City, London Heathrow, Southampton, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Jersey and Alderney.

International scheduled connectivity includes selected European markets such as Paris and Dublin, alongside seasonal operations to leisure destinations.

British Airways strengthened the airport’s strategic London connectivity with the introduction of year-round Heathrow services from April 2026.

The airport also accommodates seasonal charter and holiday flying, supporting outbound leisure demand through European sun and winter ski programmes. Charter destinations have included Faro, Malaga, Majorca, Ibiza, Gran Canaria, Grenoble and Zurich, alongside other seasonal European routes operated by specialist holiday programmes and charter providers.

Guernsey Airport plays an essential economic role for the island, supporting financial services, tourism, government connectivity and medical travel. Due to Guernsey’s island geography and reliance on aviation infrastructure, air services are considered strategically important public transport links rather than purely commercial markets.

The airport operates a single asphalt runway (09/27) measuring 1,463 metres and handles commercial aviation alongside private and business aviation activity. Passenger volumes continue to be driven predominantly by UK connectivity, with London remaining the airport’s largest market.
