Ryanair launches a new route from Riga to Rome (Ciampino)
On Thursday, 5 May, at Riga International Airport the first direct flight was launched on the route Riga – Rome (Ciampino). To celebrate this event a special cake that represents one of the most significant historical monuments of Rome - the Coliseum was made for the passengers of the first flight.
The carrier Ryanair will perform direct flights for times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The airline will operate the flights on a Boeing 737 aircraft and the flight duration will be approximately three hours.
