WIZZ AIR LAUNCHES NEW DAILY SERVICE FROM VIENNA TO WARSAW

11 NEW ROUTES ANNOUNCED ACROSS ENTIRE NETWORK TODAY

VIENNA, 6 August 2018: Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest growing airline announces the launch of a new route from Vienna to Warsaw Poland. The route is one of 11* new services announced across Wizz Air’s far-reaching network today.

The newly announced service from Austria will be operated from Vienna to the Polish capital’s Warsaw Chopin airport, on a daily basis starting 28 October. The new low fare service will create great travel opportunities for Austrian passengers and their visitors from just 19.99 EUR**. The new service between Vienna and Warsaw brings the total number of new routes from Vienna for 2018 to 27; Including the new service announced today, Wizz Air now offers a total of 49 weekly flights from Vienna, with more than 2.1 million seats on sale in 2019 on flights to and from Vienna representing over 280% increase year-on-year.

Wizz Air started its operations from Vienna International Airport in April 2018 and more than 94,000 passengers have already enjoyed the airline’s great value-service. Wizz Air local operations stimulate further the associated industries and local job market by supporting around 1,500 jobs in the greater Vienna area.

 

Today’s Wizz Air announcement of the expansion of its network footprint across Europe and beyond adds 11 new routes to the airline’s network. Including the new routes announced today, WIZZ is adding more than 125 new routes in 2018 and over 700 additional weekly flights on existing services across its extensive and diversified network covering 44 countries.
