Winter Timetable 2010/11

Vienna International Airport with new destinations and more frequencies

Vienna International Airport is starting the 2010/2011 winter season with four new destinations and more connections. These changes can be reviewed in the VIE winter timetable, which is now available and takes effect on 31 October 2010. New destinations: Male, Mumbai, Valencia and Beirut Austrian Airlines plans to introduce one direct flight per week to Male starting on 31 October 2010, and will increase this connection to twice weekly as of 24 December 2010. In addition, Austrian Airlines will re-establish service between Vienna and Mumbai with five frequencies per week. In February 2011 NIKI is adding Valencia to its program with two weekly direct flights. Wataniya Airways also intends to commence direct connections to Beirut, with three flights per week beginning with the winter flight plan. Increased frequencies to Eastern and Western Europe The offering of flights on existing routes will also be expanded with the start of the winter flight plan: NIKI is adding two flights to Malaga, and thereby raising the total to five flights per week. Additionally, NIKI will increase the number of flights to Bucharest - Henri Coanda International Airport (formerly Otopeni) and Sofia by 11 each to a total of 17 flights per week. Milan is now also serviced 16-times per week and Malaga five-times per week by NIKI. Lufthansa is adding five additional flights to the current 26 weekly connections to Düsseldorf. Wataniya Airways has raised the number of connections to Kuwait City to six per week, whereby the three additional frequencies will be routed via the new destination in Beirut. Connections to Istanbul will also be expanded with the 2010/11 Winter Flight Plan 2010. Turkish Airlines is increasing its flights to Istanbul by four beginning in December 2010. SunExpress will introduce four flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen beginning with the winter flight plan. Rossiya Airlines is adding one frequency to St. Petersburg as of January 2011 and will now travel three-times per week to this second largest city in Russia.
