Viracopos Airport Launches New Azul Route Between Campinas and Porto, Portugal

The route will be operated three times a week using the Airbus A330-900neo, which accommodates 298 passengers—34 of them in business class.

Azul Linhas Aéreas began operations of its newest international route this past Sunday (June 1), connecting Viracopos International Airport in Campinas (São Paulo, Brazil) to the city of Porto, Portugal.

The route will be operated three times a week using the Airbus A330-900neo, which accommodates 298 passengers—34 of them in business class.

The inaugural flight departed with 100% seat occupancy, marking Azul’s second regular service to Portugal, alongside its existing route to Lisbon (LIS). With this new connection, Azul expands its international network and strengthens its connectivity to the European market through Viracopos.

Currently, Azul operates international flights from Viracopos to Lisbon (LIS), Paris (ORY), Orlando (MCO), and Fort Lauderdale (FLL), in addition to serving 72 domestic destinations from the airport.
