Viracopos Airport Launches Direct Flights to Madrid with Azul Airlines

Operated with Airbus A330neo aircraft (239 seats, including 34 in business class), the service initially offers four weekly flights in each direction.
Azul Airlines has launched a new direct route between São Paulo – Campinas Viracopos International Airport and Madrid-Barajas Airport, marking a strategic expansion into the European market. The inaugural flight on June 9 departed with nearly full occupancy, reflecting strong demand.
Operated with Airbus A330neo aircraft (239 seats, including 34 in business class), the service initially offers four weekly flights in each direction. From July through October, frequencies will increase to five weekly departures to meet peak summer demand, with further expansion planned for December.
Madrid joins Azul’s growing international network from Viracopos — recently recognized for the fifth time as the best airport in Brazil among the country’s busiest airports — which also includes Lisbon, Paris, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Asuncion, alongside 72 domestic destinations.
