Viracopos Begins Operating Azul’s New Route to Mendoza, Argentina, During the Winter Season

There will be three weekly flights operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, which can accommodate up to 174 passengers; the new route recorded more than 95% occupancy on its inaugural flight
On June 17, Azul launched its first flight on the brand-new route between Viracopos International Airport (São Paulo/Campinas) and Mendoza, Argentina. The seasonal service will run from June through August, catering to travelers seeking the winter season in the western region of the argentine capital. The new route saw strong demand, with more than 95% occupancy already on the inaugurated flight.
The airline will operate a total of 60 flights during this period, with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. All flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, which seat 174 passengers.
This initiative reinforces Azul’s strategy to expand its presence in international destinations and provides greater connectivity for its customers. Viracopos serves as the airline’s national hub.
