Latam Airlines has resumed passenger flights at Viracopos International Airport (VCP), in São Paulo – Campinas, starting August 1st. The airline now operates 21 weekly frequencies using Airbus A320 family aircraft.
This return coincides with a period of sustained growth at Viracopos. In the first half of 2025, the airport recorded a 6.52% increase in passenger traffic, reaching 6.2 million travelers. By the end of the year, VCP is expected to surpass 13 million passengers, a historic milestone.
Viracopos was named Best Airport in Brazil in 2025 in the category of over 10 million passengers per year, according to a survey conducted by the Brazilian federal government. This marks the fifth time the airport has received this recognition.
