Viracopos Sets New All-Time January Record – International Traffic Up 12%
The performance follows a historic 2025, when Viracopos reached 13.1 million passengers and reinforced its position among Brazil’s fastest-growing hubs.
After a record-breaking 2025, São Paulo–Campinas Viracopos International Airport (VCP) started 2026 with its strongest January ever, handling 1.16 million passengers, up 4% year-on-year.
The performance follows a historic 2025, when Viracopos reached 13.1 million passengers and reinforced its position among Brazil’s fastest-growing hubs. The airport is targeting 13.5 million in 2026.
International traffic continues to accelerate. In January 2026, international volumes increased 12% year-on-year, while full-year 2025 international traffic surpassed 1.1 million passengers, up 29% compared to 2024.
Viracopos currently serves Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Lisbon, Madrid and Porto, in addition to seasonal services to Mendoza and Bariloche. Supported by strong and expanding demand in one of Brazil’s most economically dynamic catchment areas, VCP is actively pursuing new routes across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.
The airport will attend Routes Americas 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, presenting its infrastructure, strong catchment area, competitive incentive program for new routes and frequencies, and sustainable growth opportunities to airline partners seeking expansion in Brazil and South America.
