Recognized as one of the main Cargo Terminals in Latin America, Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP), has achieved CEIV Pharma recertification, granted by IATA (International Air Transport Association), valid until December 31, 2028.
The International recognition attests that the Viracopos Cargo Terminal strictly complies with the highest global standards of quality, safety, and control in the handling of pharmaceutical cargo, ensuring the integrity of products throughout the entire logistics chain.
The certification covers the Cargo Handling Facility and Ground Handling Service Provider categories, consolidating Viracopos as one of the leading specialized pharmaceutical cargo hubs in Latin America.

Viracopos stands out for its modern infrastructure dedicated to the pharmaceutical sector, with climate-controlled areas, temperature control, continuous monitoring, standardized processes, and a team trained according to international best practices.

Smart Pharma: strategic differentiator
One of the airport's main differentiators is the Smart Pharma service, an integrated solution developed to offer personalized and specialized service for pharmaceutical cargo.
Smart Pharma includes: active temperature monitoring; dedicated support by a specialized team; operational prioritization; intelligent incident management; and a technological interface for real-time monitoring. This initiative raises the standard of control and visibility of operations, providing greater transparency and security for shippers, freight forwarders, and pharmaceutical companies.

From the beginning of the concession, Viracopos has been investing in the expansion and improvement of its cold storage complex, currently boasting 11 cold chambers and an antechamber with controlled temperatures ranging from -18°C to 22°C. To handle pharmaceutical cargo, Viracopos uses chambers with flexible temperatures that can have their set point altered, modifying the temperature of the area when necessary.
