More than 30,000 passengers in Easter holidays
Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport expects strong demand for holiday flights.
With the start of the North-Rhine Westphalian Easter holidays next weekend, the first major travel wave of 2026 is set to begin. Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport expects more than 30,000 passengers on holiday flights taking advantage of convenient connections to sunny destinations.
“We are seeing clear indications of strong demand and expect our holiday flights to be well booked once again,” says Roland Hüser, CEO of Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport, as he looks ahead to the first peak travel period of the year. The airport is fully prepared in terms of staffing to ensure smooth operations despite the higher number of aircraft movements and passengers.
As in the previous year, Antalya and Palma de Mallorca are expected to be the most popular destinations. After airlines had scheduled some special flights in 2025, this year will see a return to the regular tourism flight schedule. In addition, there is the scheduled connection to Munich, which was operated by Lufthansa last year and is currently being served by skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG.
