Record breaking July

Thanks to well-organized promotional and other marketing activities, made in collaboration with the Istrian Tourist Board on all important tourist generating markets, till 31st July 2014 Pula Airport recorded an increase of passenger traffic.

 In line with our forecasts, in July 2014 we recorded the highest number of passengers in the past 18 years. In July at Pula Airport we had 96,218 passengers, which is 14% more than last year. Since the beginning of the year to 31st July we had 214,520 passengers, or 10% more than last year. In August, we expect a figure around 100,000 passengers.

 Scandinavia increased its presence by as much as 65.7%, Belgium 30.5%, UK 13.9% and Germany 3.1%.

 Traffic from Russia unfortunately decreased by 25%, which still has a huge impact on the overall result of the Airport. Ukraine traffic decreased by 60%.

 According to our indicators Pula Airport in 2014 is expected to achieve a turnover of around 400,000 passengers
