Closer and closer to 15 million

In the period from January to the end of November, Chopin Airport has handled 14.6 million passengers. It is a number of over 23 % higher than last year. This means that already in the second week of December, we can expect a 15 millionth passenger, and at the end of the year, the total number of all passengers handled will probably exceed 15.5 million. In November, 1 million 151 thousand passengers were served at Warsaw Chopin Airport. Since the beginning of the year, 12 million 664 thousand people have travelled in international traffic (increase by 20 %), and in domestic traffic, 1 million 967 thousand people (increase by 54 %).

"Chopin Airport does not slow down the pace of development. In December the LOT Polish Airlines connection to Berlin was opened, Qatar Airways will soon introduce an additional second rotation to Doha, and by the end of the year Ural Airlines will connect Warsaw with Moscow Domodedovo airport," says Hubert Wojciechowski, Marketing and PR Bureau Director at Warsaw Chopin Airport. "Connections such as Bordeaux, Nuremberg, Kaunas and Singapore are planned for next year. These new directions confirm the perception of the Chopin Airport as an attractive transfer airport."
