Batumi Airport welcomes Tehran flights of Taban Airlines

Batumi International Airport, operated by TAV Georgia, welcomed the first flight from Tehran, the capital of Iran, performed by Taban Airlines on June 24, 2016. Batumi International Airport hosted a celebration cocktail attended by the representatives from Batumi International Airport administration, TABAN Airlines and the passengers.

Direct flights between Batumi and Tehran will be performed every Friday from June 24 to September 30 via Boeing 757 and MD-88 type aircrafts. Taban Airlines will also start to perform flights between Batumi and Mashad next week.

TAV Georgia provided services to more than 2 million passengers at Batumi and Tbilisi airports in 2015 with a 16 percent increase when compared to the previous year.
