Introduction to Batumi International Airport
Batumi International Airport (BUS), operated by TAV Airports since 2007, is a shared facility serving both Georgia and Türkiye and the main gateway to Georgia’s Black Sea tourism region.
Following a USD 17 million expansion completed in 2021, the terminal area doubled to 8,000 sqm and annual capacity increased to 1.2 million passengers.
BUS handled 1.23 million passengers in 2025, representing 29% growth compared with 2024. The airport was served by 26 airlines connecting Batumi with 29 destinations, including four new routes.
