Keflavík Airport welcomes new easyJet services to Newcastle and Liverpool

Keflavík Airport has welcomed the launch of two new routes operated by easyJet, strengthening direct air connectivity between Iceland and the United Kingdom for the 2026/27 winter season.

The new services connect Keflavík International Airport with Newcastle and Liverpool, adding two further destinations to the growing range of direct connections between Iceland and the UK.

The Newcastle service commenced on 27 October 2026, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Liverpool route followed on 2 November 2026, with flights operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

The new connections provide travellers from the North East and North West of England with more convenient access to Iceland, while offering Icelandic passengers additional opportunities to travel directly to two major English cities.

Newcastle, located in the North East of England, offers visitors a combination of cultural attractions, historic landmarks and a vibrant city centre, while also serving as a gateway to the wider North East region. Liverpool, internationally recognised for its musical heritage, waterfront and cultural attractions, provides another attractive destination for Icelandic travellers.

The launch of both routes further strengthens easyJet’s presence at Keflavík Airport and reflects the continued development of the airport’s international route network.

With direct services to both destinations, the new routes are expected to support travel in both directions, creating additional opportunities for tourism, leisure travel and visits between Iceland and the UK.
