Keflavik Airport is in fourth place for delivering the best customer experience out of 36 European Airports in the size category 5-15 million passengers. This is the result of the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey conducted by ACI (Airports Council International) for the year 2018.

The Survey is carried out in 346 airports around the world, 114 of them are in Europe. Passengers are asked to rate their satisfaction with 33 service components at the airport on a five point scale. They are also asked to give a rating of overall satisfaction with the airport. The results are published quarterly and also on a yearly basis. Keflavik Airport has consistently been among the best European airports in this survey ever since it first took part in it in 2004. Keflavik Airport has won its size category three times in the past few years, in 2009, 2011 and 2014.

Keflavik Airport is now grouped in the size category 5-15 million passengers each year. It has fulfilled all criteria for the survey to get the award. Keflavik Airport got a score of 4,2 on a scale from 1 to 5. The top three on the list are the airports in Sotchi, Porto and Malta. Among those below Keflavik Airport are the airports in Alicante, Bergen, Bristol, Glasgow and Newcastle to name a few.

„We at Keflavik Airport are delighted to receive the prestigious service quality award. It is a manifestation of the hard work of our team and the operators at the airport that have successfully served the customers with a high level of efficiency and excellence, despite at times quite crowded conditions and the challenges of rapid facility expansion. It also proves our important part in great passenger travel experience.“
