About The Airport
King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) is Saudi Arabia's busiest airport and the principal gateway to Makkah and Madinah. It is operated by Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO), established in 2022 under the Kingdom's aviation privatisation programme.
In 2025 KAIA handled a record 53.4 million passengers and 310,000 flights, the highest annual traffic ever recorded at a Saudi airport. Demand is driven by a large origin and destination market in Jeddah and the western region, year-round Umrah traffic, the Hajj season, and growing leisure and business travel under Vision 2030.
KAIA is ranked 27th in the Skytrax World's Top 100 Airports 2026, 3rd globally in the 50 to 60 million passenger category and 5th among the world's most improved airports.
JEDCO works in partnership with airlines to develop new routes and grow existing services, supported by continued investment in terminal capacity and passenger experience.
