Jeddah Airports, Global Alliance Open 10,000m2 Duty-Free at KAIA

A New Duty-Free Landmark in Jeddah

Jeddah Airports today inaugurated its new duty-free at King Abdulaziz International Air-port, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. The project was developed in partner-ship with strategic partner JAH Arabia International Duty Free, a joint alliance that also includes Germany’s Gebr. Heinemann, Saudi Arabia’s Astra Group, and Jordan Duty Free, combining global expertise with regional and local presence.

The new duty-free spans over 10,000 square meters across Terminal 1 and the North Terminal, offering passengers a unique blend of international luxury and local au-thenticity. It features more than 335 global brands across 35 stores and boutiques, es-tablishing it as a leading retail destination among Saudi airports.

The market showcases a wide range of categories, including cosmetics, confectionery, gourmet foods, tobacco products, souvenirs, fashion, accessories, and jewelry. It also hosts standalone boutiques of renowned international brands such as Longchamp, Mi-chael Kors, Swarovski, Boss, Ralph Lauren, and Lacoste.

To reflect local identity, a dedicated section embraces Arabic and regional themes, of-fering products such as chocolates, dates, nuts, and prayer mats. Saudi fragrance brands like Noa and Siava are featured alongside an exclusive “Jeddah Perfumes” col-lection, comprising three fragrances crafted by Saudi perfumer Majda Bikaly specifical-ly for the duty-free market, capturing the spirit and heritage of the region.

In addition to traditional shopping, the duty-free market incorporates digital innova-tions such as electronic price displays, self-service kiosks alongside conventional checkout counters, interactive in-store games, and a dedicated “Jeddah Memories” photo corner. Jeddah Airports is also developing an online shopping experience and a dedicated mobile app, scheduled for launch early next year.

Engineer Mazen Johar, CEO of Jeddah Airports, said, “We are delighted to welcome travelers to our new duty-free market, which reflects both the status of King Abdulaziz International Airport and the rich culture of Jeddah.”

He added, “The new duty-free market offers exceptional shopping options and enhanc-es passenger services at the airport. It will undoubtedly contribute to revenue growth, diversify income streams, create new investment opportunities for local and interna-tional investors, and generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for Saudi youth, supporting the national aviation strategy aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.”

He said, “This success has been made possible through close collaboration with our partner, JAH Arabia International Duty Free, and the support of our partners across gov-ernment and private sectors, reflecting our shared vision and commitment to excel-lence.”

Collaboration and Shared Vision

“We are committed to delivering an exceptional shopping experience that highlights King Abdulaziz International Airport’s unique position by balancing global standards with local culture. This development embodies the values of collaboration and shared vision,” said Simon Ford, CEO of JAH Arabia International Duty Free. He added, “I extend my sincere gratitude to Jeddah Airports and all partners who have made this achievement an extraordinary success.”
