Welcome new route from Tel Aviv (TLV) to Hanoi (HAN): Strengthening long-haul connectivity between Vietnam and Israel

First Direct Air Link Between Tel Aviv and Hanoi Officially Launched
Arkia Israeli Airlines has officially launched the first-ever direct air service connecting Tel Aviv (TLV) and Hanoi (HAN). The inaugural flight was marked by an opening ceremony held on January 5 at Noi Bai International Airport, hosted by the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam. This milestone represents a significant step forward in aviation cooperation, tourism development and economic ties between the two countries.
Flight IZ595 departs Tel Aviv at 00:05 local time and arrives in Hanoi at 16:30 local time after approximately 11.5 hours of flight. The return service departs Hanoi at 19:40 and lands at Ben Gurion International Airport at 02:25 the following morning local time, with a flight duration of nearly 12 hours.

Initial operation with fixed weekly schedule and wide-body aircraft
During the initial phase from January to June 2026, the Tel Aviv – Hanoi route is operated by Arkia Israeli Airlines with a frequency of one round-trip flight per week on Mondays, using a wide-body aircraft with a capacity of approximately 290 passengers. The direct service significantly reduces travel time between the two countries and eliminates the need for transit through a third country, offering a more seamless and efficient travel experience for passengers.

A New Catalyst for Trade, Tourism and Interregional Connectivity
In the short term, the direct Tel Aviv–Hanoi route enhances travel convenience for business travelers, tourists and professionals by providing nonstop access between Vietnam and Israel. Tel Aviv serves as a strategic gateway for Vietnamese passengers connecting to destinations across West Asia and Europe, while Hanoi enables Israeli travelers to use Vietnam as a starting point for exploring Southeast Asia.

In the long term, the launch of the direct route reflects sustained bilateral efforts following the 2020 Protocol amending the Vietnam–Israel Air Transport Agreement and the signing of the Vietnam–Israel Free Trade Agreement in 2023. The new air link is expected to support growing trade and tourism flows, with bilateral trade potentially exceeding USD 4 billion by 2026, while reinforcing Noi Bai International Airport’s role as a key long-haul gateway in the region.
