About The Airport

Provo Airport serves the Provo Metro Area and all of Utah County. The Provo Metro Area is consistently one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the U.S. and always in the top tier of the Forbes list of best job-growth communities. Much of the reason for this success is that the state’s two largest universities (Brigham Young University, 32,000 students and Utah Valley University, 33,000 students) are located in the Provo Metro Area.

Provo is home to missionary headquarters for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). The Missionary Training Center (MTC) is responsible for training and coordinating the travel of over 85,000 LDS missionaries worldwide. The MTC is committed to flying missionaries from the Provo Airport if a connecting airline could offer a daily flight to Denver and to LA.

Since beginning commercial airline service in 2010, Provo Airport has gone from a single-destination airport to serving 4 markets with an average load factor of 94%.
