Corporate Award for iGA Istanbul Airport

iGA Istanbul Airport, which has previously been selected for "Airport of the Year" on two occasions by the Regional Air Transport Awards, has now been honoured with the "Corporate Award". iGA Istanbul Airport, which continues to be the pride of both Türkiye and Türkiye Aviation with the global awards it has won in recent times, has added yet another new award to its list.

iGA Istanbul Airport, one of the most prestigious airports in the world, has been honoured with yet another accolade in the Regional Air Transport Awards, which is one of the leading publications in the global aviation sector. iGA Istanbul Airport, which was selected as "Airport of the Year" by the Regional Air Transport Awards in 2021 and 2022, has this time succeeded in achieving the "Corporate Award" at the Regional Air Transport Awards.

The awards ceremony, where iGA Istanbul Airport accepted the "Corporate Award", was held in the city of Cluj in Romania, on Friday 9 September. After his speech during the panel discussion, the "Corporate Award" was presented to Kadri Samsunlu, the CEO of iGA Istanbul Airport.

The winners were determined by vote, with more than 4,000 readers and leading executives within the aviation industry taking part in this voting, which was held by the aviation authorities. Some of the winners of this competition from previous years include Singapore Changi, Dubai, Lisbon, and Doha Airports. iGA Istanbul Airport is the second airport to be selected as "Airport of the Year" in successive years, after Singapore's Changi Airport.

The Air Transport Awards ceremony is held every year in partnership with Hermes - Air Transport Organisation, ATN (Air Transport News) and ALA (America Latina Aeronoticias), while the selection committee is comprised of leading aviation organisations such as the Airports Council International (ACI), the International Civil Aviation Organisation and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The voting process for Air Transport News is held every year by airport experts from around the world, whose opinions on travel are highly sought, and who provide valuable insight on issues such as travel and accommodation.
