Introduction to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport
The current plan of construction is designed to build Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and 3 runways in a total area of about 21 square kilometers. In 2025, Tianfu Airport will meet the needs of 60 million passenger throughput, 1.4 million tons of cargo volume, and half a million aircraft movements on annual basis.
The overall planning of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is designed to construct 4 terminals and 6 runways, forming a “four-vertical-and-two- horizontal” layout.
The U.S. Transportation Department is allowing Chinese carriers to operate 35 roundtrips per week, up from 24 previously.
