Zurich Airport Brasil, the concessionaire that manages Florianópolis International Airport, presented today, in a press conference, the flight schedule for the 2025/2026 summer season, which promises to be the largest in the history of Floripa Airport. The main highlight is the international market, which will represent 38% of the total passengers between December 2025 and March 2026 — a growth of 19% compared to the previous season.
There will be 12 routes connecting Santa Catarina to countries in South America, the Caribbean, and Europe. In total, 10 airlines will operate up to 64 international flights in a single day. Among the most sought-after destinations, Buenos Aires leads with up to 30 daily flights. Argentina also stands out as the country with the largest number of routes: in addition to the capital, there will be flights to Córdoba, Rosario, Salta, and Tucumán—the latter two being new routes operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Another new development is the regular route to Lima, Peru, with three weekly flights starting December 2nd, operated by Latam. To meet the high demand, Copa Airlines will add a weekly flight on the route connecting Florianópolis to North America and the Caribbean, via Panama, offering 5 flights per week to the destination between December and January.
Projections solidify the terminal in the capital of Santa Catarina as the 3rd busiest airport for international traffic in Brazil, a position it has held since January 2024, behind only Guarulhos (SP) and Galeão (RJ).
“The summer flight schedule points to a record season in terms of international traffic. This growth is the result of strategic work with airlines, authorities and local partners. Floripa Airport is expanding the diversification of its offerings, reaching the milestone of approximately 10% of its international passengers being from outside Mercosur, the airport's traditional market,” says Ricardo Gesse, CEO of Zurich Airport Brazil.
