Following a Record-Breaking Year, Vitória Airport Records 12% Growth in the First Half of 2026

Vitória Airport recorded a 12% increase in passenger traffic during the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year, reinforcing the airport’s continued growth trajectory, driven primarily by enhanced air connectivity. A total of 1.8 million passengers traveled through Espírito Santo’s main airport during the first six months of the year.

One of the main highlights was the strengthening of the Vitória–Brasília route, which gained additional frequencies starting in the second half of 2025. The route benefited from the introduction of a new daily flight operated by GOL Airlines and the expansion of LATAM Airlines’ operation to three daily flights, providing passengers with greater travel flexibility and connectivity.

The positive performance builds on the airport’s historic results in 2025, when Vitória Airport surpassed 3.5 million passengers, marking the highest annual passenger volume ever recorded at the terminal.

Vitória Airport was also recently recognized as the Best Airport in Brazil in the category of up to 5 million passengers per year, in an award promoted by Brazil’s Ministry of Ports and Airports. The airport achieved an average passenger satisfaction score of 4.64 out of 5 and ranked second overall among the country’s 20 largest airports.
