About The Airport

Southwest Georgia Regional Airport (ABY) is the commercial gateway to Southwest Georgia, located three miles from downtown Albany. Owned by the City of Albany, ABY supports about 40,000 annual operations, with three daily Delta Connection flights to Atlanta on 75-seat regional jets and a UPS regional cargo sort facility served by Airbus A300-600 and Boeing 757 freighters.

ABY’s 6,601-foot ILS runway, control tower and available development land can accommodate added passenger, charter and cargo service. The airport serves a region with few nearby alternatives (Tallahassee is 79 miles away and Atlanta is 146 miles away), with demand driven by business, healthcare, military, agriculture, and seasonal hunting travel.
