Record passenger numbers in 2010

By the end of December 2010, in the centenary year of Bordeaux-Merignac airport, the all-time record for passengers had been smashed: 3,612,000 passengers passed through the airport last
year, 334,000 (+10.2%) more than in the previous year.

The expansion of our low-cost network following the launch of the new billi terminal (Bordeaux illico) has led to a 35% increase in traffic on our international routes, compared to 2009.

These results are even more impressive against the backdrop of a serious economic crisis, and in a year fraught with major problems (freezing weather conditions, strikes and social actions, the volcanic ash cloud...).

The Board of Directors of Bordeaux Airport will present a full review of the year 2010, as well as their best wishes for the coming year, to the press and media in Bordeaux on 6th January 9.00am.
