Tourist traffic in Małopolska in 2018

In 2018, a record number of tourists visited Małopolska - 16.8 million people (by 800 thousand more than in 2017), including 3.3 million foreign tourists.

Most of the foreign guests visiting our region come from: Germany (19%), France (11%), Great Britain and Ukraine (8%), Italy (8%), Spain and Portugal (7%).

More than half of tourists from abroad (52%) chooses a plane as a mean of transport.

The main purpose of travel are: leisure (28%), visiting monuments (26%), visiting relatives (8%), business (7%).
