Laudamotion to launch Düsseldorf from Stockholm Skavsta

Laudamotion to launch Stockholm Skavsta Airport services from Dusseldorf Airport in March 2019, with the Austrian carrier heading north from Germany to Scandinavia as part of its European City Shuttle services.

Laudamotion GmbH and Stockholm Skavsta Airport AB proudly announce that Laudamotion will commence two services per week from Dusseldorf to Stockholm with Airbus A320 aircraft starting on 31 March 2019.

Laudamotion has selected Stockholm from Germany as it moves to expand from its southbound leisure routes to connecting vibrant cosmopolitan cities ideally suited to tourism and business visitors year-round.

Stockholm Skavsta Airport is the ideal airport choice as it is strategically located to the south of the city in the picturesque countryside and archipelago of Stockholm. The airport is particularly ideal for German visitors, not only with its proximity to the city centre but its location within the idyllic Swedish countryside that is the setting for the popular Inga Lindström German TV movie series that has fascinated Germans and Austrians for many years.

The services will depart Dusseldorf Airport (DUS) at 12:25 on Thursdays and Sundays each week arriving at Stockholm’s southern gateway airport Stockholm Skavsta Airport (NYO) at 14:15. The flights to Germany will depart Stockholm Skavsta Airport at 14:45 each Thursday and Sunday arriving DUS at 16:35. Laudamotion offers tickets from 19,99€ one way. Flights are available on www.laudamotion.com

Peter Steinmetz, Managing Director of Stockholm Skavsta Airport said: “I am very pleased to be able to announce the major expansion of choice of airlines flying from NYO with the arrival of Laudamotion in March this year. We believe more passenger choice delivers great personal and economic benefits for our Stockholm and Sörmland residents and business communities.

Andreas Gruber, CEO Laudamotion said: “Laudamotion relies on growth, and that's the reason why we are even more pleased to increase our offering for the summer of 2019. We are very happy to offer our flights from now on from Stockholm. We fulfill the needs of our passengers with a customer-oriented tariff concept and an unbeatable price-performance ratio. The new route between Stockholm Skavsta and Düsseldorf will
increase significantly the connectivity between Sweden and Nordrhein-Westfalen.”
