The economic growth of the region leads to the growth of the airport
February 15 at the theater "Globe" was held the final meeting of the Regional Forum "Socio-Economic Partnership-2012", which was attended by General Director of JSC "Airport Tolmachevo" Alexander BORODIN.
The final session of the forum brought together representatives of labor collectives of enterprises and organizations, public authorities. Governor of Novosibirsk region Vasily YURCHENKO gave a presentation on the development priorities of the region.
-Among the most important tasks the Governor outlined the need to enhance economic, investment processes in the region. It is essential for the airport - said Alexander BORODIN. -The more dynamic business and social life, the stronger economy and higher people's income, the more intensive people's mobility. And it directly affects on the operation of the airport, on the growth of passenger traffic. Positive trends are already evident. For example, in 2011 the number of passengers at the Tolmachevo airport reached 2,766,000 people, which is 22.3% more than in 2010. And in the first month of 2012 was recorded growth of passenger traffic of 33%. I am sure that this year the airport, which is celebrating its 55th anniversary, the first time in its history will take its three-millionth passenger.
