Aiming at the travel industry

Representatives from the airport Tolmachevo participated in an international exhibition ITB Berlin 2012 dedicated to the development of the tourism industry.

International Exhibition for the development of the tourism industry ITB Berlin 2012 takes place every year since 1966. Nowadays exhibition ITB Berlin is the largest in the world where all the modern trends of world tourism are presented. Traditionally the exhibition is attended by companies associated with the tourism industry: airlines, travel agencies, hotel chains and airports.

For the attention of the tourist community of Germany was offered a presentation on "Airport Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) - Gates of Siberia air". Airport Specialists also participated in the presentations of various travel agencies, acquainted with the latest developments in the field of the modern tourism, and met with leading experts in the field of travel industry. In addition, there were held preliminary discussions with representatives of the airline Air Arabia and MIAT Mongolian airlines about the possibility of opening regular flights from the Tolmachevo airport to the city of  Sharjah (UAE) and Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia).

ITB Berlin 2012 is a great opportunity to meet with business partners, get information about new trends and concepts of the industry, and for all other visitors - to get acquainted with the tourism industry. This year the exhibition was attended by representatives of travel agencies from 187 countries.

Tolmachevo Airport is actively working to expand the route network by taking part in a variety of specialized forums and exhibitions. Last year Novosibirsk passengers were offered a new international flights to Kiev (Ukraine) by the airline Aero Svit, to Larnaca (Cyprus), Harbin and Guangzhou (China) by the airline Ural Airlines as well as to Thessaloniki (Greece) by the Astra Airlines. In March 15, were opened regular flights to Istanbul (Turkey) by Turkish Airlines. In May 2012 the route network of the Tolmachevo Airport will be supplemented with the city Dusseldorf (Germany) by ORENAIR airlines, in June - Minsk (Belarus) by Belavia airlines. Negotiations on the opening of flights to Milan (Italy), Seoul (Korea) and the Tel-Aviv (Israel) is under way.
