Azerbaijan Airlines to launch new service to Ganja

November 30, Azerbaijan Airlines in cooperation with Management Company EC Alliance LLC launched a new weekly flight from Novosibirsk to Ganja. Flights are carried out on a weekly basis on Airbus A320 and Boeing 757.

Novosibirsk Tolmachevo International Airport welcomed all the passengers of the first flight with a traditional cake dedicated to the opening of a new direction.

With the opening of flights to Ganja, the frequency of flights from Novosibirsk to the Republic of Azerbaijan has increased up to 5 times a week that will allow natives of Novosibirsk and guests from Azerbaijan to choose the most suitable route, cost and time of the flight. Azerbaijani diaspora of Novosibirsk is one of the most numerous in the Russian Federation, and the opening of the new flight in addition to already operating flights from Novosibirsk to Baku will contribute to the strengthening of business, cultural and social ties between Novosibirsk and Azerbaijan.

Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest air hub east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. Capacity on domestic flights is 1,800 passengers per hour, on international flights - 750. The airport has two runways. In 2012 it plans to serve 3.2 million passengers. The airport has been nominated for World Routes Awards in the category "The Best Airport of CIS 2012".
