Qatar Airways returns to fly from Venice Marco Polo airport

The airline starts operations with 3 flights per week starting from 15th of July. 

DOHA, Qatar - Qatar Airways is pleased to announce the resumption of to and from Venice Marco Polo operations from from July 15th. The famous tourist destination and important artistic and cultural center will be the third Italian destination in restore operations, marking a significant step in the recovery of leisure travel globally. The flights will be operated by Boeing B787 Dreamliner every Monday, Wednesday, Friday with connecting connections through the company's hub in Doha, Hamad International Airport.

The company starts restoring operations after temporarily suspending its services at the Venetian airport on March 4, following the measures put in place to counter the Covid-19 emergency, including the change of its flight schedule for Italy, including Venice.

The reopening of operations at Venice airport is part of a larger project which sees the company engaged in a gradual phase of recovery and expansion of its network, in line with the evolution of passenger demand and the easing of restrictions on entry into countries around the world. In Italy this process resulted in an increase in frequencies in Rome (6 frequencies in June), the restoration of services from Milan Malpensa (5 frequencies by July, 4 of which already operational) and now also from Venice Marco Polo (3 frequencies from July). Globally, 52 destinations will be operational by the end of this month network and the goal is to reach 80 by June of which 23 in Europe, 4 in the Americas, 20 in the Middle East / Africa and 33 in Asia / Pacific. Qatar Airways has implemented several changes, including the introduction of flight suits individual protection (PPE) for the cabin crew to be worn over the uniform in addition to safety glasses, gloves and mask and a modified service to reduce interactions between passengers and crew.
